Note:   pages 12-14 - NOTE: By his will of 25 Jan 1724/5, proved on 2 Apr
1725, "..Richard Clark, of ye Manor of St. George in the County of
Suffolk, Yeoman.." left , to his grandson, Aaron Howell, a colt, and,
to his grand-daughter, Hannah Howell, a heifer ( ). It is possible
that this "Aaron Howell" was the son of David Howell. If so, then
David Howell might have been the father of another daughter, Hannah,
and his first wife, and the mother of most, if not all, of his
children, would have been a daughter of Richard Clark. She has been
entered into the International Genealogical Index as "Hannah Clark",
but we have not determined the basis for this entry.
Although it was recorded that "David Howel & Wid Lid Hilderidg" were
married on 2 Nov 1726 ( ), it is unlikely that this David2 Howell was
the one concerned. Rather, it is likely that David Howell, the son of
David and Mary (Herrick) Howell, who married Lydia (Norris) Hildreth,
was the subject of this record ( ).
It has been reported that the second wife of David Howell was born
"Abigail Case ( ). It is believed that this is unlikely, and that it
is the result of confusion with the record of the marriage of "David
Howell" and "Abigail Case" on 15 Jly 1797 ( ).
