According to two newspaper accounting, Mr. and Mrs. Schorb married
against the parents wishes. It is not completely certain but is seems
that they married in a hurry and then an abrupt ending to the honeymoon
where the sixteen year old bride returned to her parents home.

Newspaper Article - no date

"MR. JIMERSON SURRENDERS HIS SON-IN-LAW'S BRIDE"

Borough Council, Chris A. Reed, received a telegram from his client,
Frederick F. Buckley, last evening, stating that it was unnecessary to
take further steps in the habeas corpus proceedings to recover his bride,
Eva, age 17, who had been kept from him by her Father, Aaron L. Jimerson
of Netherwood. Mr. Jimerson, it is said, feared that his son-in-law
would not make a desirable husband and did not thing Miss Eva old enough
to marry. Hence, as was told in yesterday's news. He kept the girl from
her husband after the secret marriage and refused to admit the son-in-law
to the house. The sight of legal papers yesterday, commanding him to
produce the body of his daughter in court, brought on reflection, and at
length Mr. Jimerson thrust aside his objections and consented to
recognize the match and to sanction the marriage. The happy young couple
will reside at Netherwood during the summer.
