TOM WEISS VISITS - BELOIT DAILY CALL - Thursday Edition

We enjoyed a visit this morning from Tom Weiss, who came from
Seattle with the remains of his mother the late Mrs. Emma Weiss, which
were laid to rest in Elmwood cemetery yesterday. Mrs. Weiss lost her
life through burns inflicted when her dress caught on fire while she was
working in the kitchen. Mrs. Weiss was well and happy with her son, Tom,
who holds a position as mail carrier in Seattle.

Tom tells us that his brother, Knowles, lives at Downey, Calif.,
with his family and has just been relieved of his duties as postmaster
there. Carl Weiss is married, has two daughters and is doing well at
Lynwood, California. One sister, Mrs. "Posey" McClary, lives at Santa
Ana, California and another sister, Mrs. L. F. Ross lives in Huntington
Park, California.

Tom was much impressed with the improvements made in Beloit since he
left here in 1910 and had the occasion of his visit been for a different
reason he would have enjoyed his visit to the old home town.
