It is ordered at Southampton, L. I. in 1643, that Richard Post have two acres of unbroken ground adjoining his other two acres. In 1651 he was Constable at Southampton. Some of his children settled in Suffolk Co. and some came to Hempstead, Queens Co., he d. before 1700.

In 1729. Richard Post and Phebe deeded land in Hempstead to Thomas Carman, of the children of RICHARD POST and Phebe.
