Adam and Jane settled in Hempstead in 1656, Jane d. and he m. 2d 1667, Elisabeth Richbell, dau. of John and Ann.

In 1774. Jacob Mott, of Portsmouth, R. Island was living on possessions that had been inherited by the same name for near a century and a half.

In 1794. Annie5 Mott, dau. of James and Mary (Underhill) says we visited our cousin Jacob Mott, of Bedford, Rhode Island
