KIRBY FAMILY

RICHARD KIRBY came from Mass., to L. I., settled at Littleworth, will Oct. 17, 1688, says wife Elisabeth, she was a widow Hopkins when he married her as his 2d wife. The mother of his son Thomas may have been Patience Gifford, as one of that name married a Richard Kirbie, and had daughter Temperance b. 1670, m. 1721, George Pearce b. 1662, son of Richard.

   of Islip.

   2d 1787, (Mary Jackson), widow of Wm. Seaman.
