FEKE FAMILY

Lieut. ROBERT FEKE of Watertown, N. E., and Wm. Palmer of Yarmouth, and Judith his wife, son and daughter of James Feke, late of London, Goldsmith, deceased, and Tobias Feke, aged 17, make Tobias Dixon, of London, their attorney in the settlement of the estate of James, 1638 to 41.

ROBERT1 FEKE m. Elisabeth (Fones), widow of Henry Winthrop, son of John1 and nephew of Gov. Winthrop. Their mother was a Winthrop.

Their children were:

  Hannah2 m. May 7, 1656, in Flushing, John Bowne,
    she d. 1677.
  John2 m. 1673, Elisabeth Prior, he d. 1724.
  Tobias2 b. at Watertown, came to L. I., in 1650,
    he d. 1668.
Elisabeth, who m. 1660, Capt. John Underhill, appears to have been the dau. of Elisabeth (Fones) and her 1st husband Henry Winthrop, to whom she was married about 1629; he was drowned on July 3, 1630, in attempting to swim a small river. The young widow came to Massachusetts bay, and subsequently, m. Robert Feaks. Elisabeth Underhill is generally supposed to have been his daughter, she having grown up with the Feaks children.

    son of Thomas and Martha.

1669. Robert Feaks d. wife named Sarah.

1670. James Feke gave release to Mary, widow of Tobias Feke, she having paid him all his claims the estate of Tobias, deceased.
