Now that the murder of Mrs. Cynthia Hawkins has been positively fixed upon her son, the excitement in the little village of Islip, Long Island, has cooled down to a great extent.

Mrs. Cynthia Hawkins, who was murdered by her son at Islip, Long Island, on Saturday night, was buried yesterday from the Methodist Episcopal church in that village. Nearly all the stores in the place were closed, and the crowd at the funeral was very large.
