ZACHARIAH1 HOOPER I was from Amelia County, VA, and died 1775.  He married SUSANNAH
WALKER1,2,3, daughter of THOMAS WALKER and BETTY ELLIS.  She was born July 17454, and died June 17,  18374.

 
"In the Amelia Co., VA, Order Book 19 (pg. 40) for 20 Aug 1788 Woodlief Thomas was summoned: ... this day charged with having a bastard chld upon the body of Susanna Hooper and it being Suggested to the Court that the said bastard child would become a charge to the Parish, the said Thomas appeared in discharged of his recognizance on consideration of the Court that he the said Thomas shall enter into Reconizence with two Securitys..."  Her two youngest children were Woodlief and Henry.  It is not clear whether Woodflief Thomas was the father of both or only the first, but both sons carried the Hooper name.

 i. MARY ELIZABETH2 HOOPER, b. April 17, 1768, Nottoway County, VA; d. March 03, 1843, Caswell County,
    NC.

 ii. ZACHARIAH HOOPER, SR., b. November 16, 1769, Virginia; d. November 22, 1885, Caswell County, NC.

 iii. BENJAMIN HOOPER, b. January 04, 1774; d. April 16, 1839.

 iv. WOODLIEF HOOPER, b. February 03, 1779, Virginia; d. April 26, 1853, Caswell County, NC.

 v. HENRY HOOPER, b. 1785, Caswell County, NC; d. 18334.
