This cemetery was one of the hardest to find. It is located about 2200 feet due west of the point where South Street intersects with Chapman Blvd. It is also about 200 feet south of South Street. It was copied on 28 April 1970. Leigh Phillips, Jim Gilmartin and Elbert N. Carter made the search for this grave yard. There was only one stone but at least six additional gave sites that were apparent and maybe more. 1. BARNABAS WINES d. 3 march 1856 age 85 years. There was a foot stone with the initials B.W.. The stone was an old white sandstone that was broken at the base. 2. Mound, with a large flat rock on edge marking the grave. 3-7. Possible grave sites based on the terrain. |
