This
grave is located west of Chapman Boulevard on the dirt road
continuation of Hot Water Street (Hill Street on some maps) to a small
Kettle Hole Pond. The stone is approximately 150 feet north of
the pond on the side of the hill. This was copied by LEIGH
PHILLIPS on 9 April 1970 and the stone had been dug up and was laying
on the ground. The grave itself was also dug up about one and
one-half feet deep. I searched the site in July 1972 and could
not find the stone or the grave site. 1. DANIEL PETTY d. 31 Jan. 1908 age 24 years. f.s. D.P. (Red sandstone) 2. A field stone possibly marking a grave site. |
