David Carll Farm Cemetery, Dix Hills

Located south of the Northern State Parkway, at the junction of Deer Park Avenue and the Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, the David Carll Farm Cemetery was in use for over 200 years. According to the 1990 booklet "Huntington Historic Cemeteries," published by the Huntington Town Historian,  the last burial in this family graveyard was made in 1948. The inventory presented below was made about 1912 and is found in Nellie R. Scudder's "Scudder Collection of Long Island Genealogical Records," available at the Huntington Historical Society or on L. This transcription may not be complete.  The Huntington Town Historian lists the cemetery as containing 62 recorded burials yet the listing only contains 32 - 30 Stones appear to have been left out of Nellie Scudders list.  Nothing listed after 1877 yet the cemetery was supposedly used until Ca. 1948.  Anyone able to help with additional information would be appreciated.
