in Smithtown - 1791; served as Suffolk County Clerk 1820-1821; Suffolk
County District Attorney - 1830; served in the New York State Assembly 1836
and 1838; President of the Board of Trustees, Town of Huntington 1837 -1840;
served a term in the United States House of Representatives; Suffolk County
Judge 1843 - 1865; Supervisor of the Town of Huntington 1843 - 1865; died
