Swezey Family Cemetery Middle Island, New York

The Swezey Family graveyard is located in an area of Middle Island once called Swezeytown. It is in relatively good condition--on a wooded hill, out of sight. The path leadimg to the cemetery is on the south side of Coram Swezeytown Road about 45 yards east of Swezeytown Rd. North. The path, with roots as steps, goes approximately 30 yards into the woods before reaching the cemetery. Elbert N. Carter copied all stones on 5 July 1971. At this time, 10/31/2003, most of the stones appear unreadable.
